Recognition for My Poetry

I have exciting news! My poetry book, in so few words, is a finalist in the American Book Fest awards in the Poetry: Religious category! I had almost forgotten I entered this contest.

Although my book was not a winner, it was in the top three in this category. The American Book Fest announced the winners and finalists of THE 20th ANNUAL BEST BOOK AWARDS (BBA), one of the world’s largest international book award programs for mainstream, indie, and self-published titles. Over 500 winners and finalists were announced in over 100 categories. Awards were presented for titles published in 2021, 2022, and 2023.

Jeffrey Keen, President and CEO of American Book Fest, said this year’s contest yielded thousands of entries from authors and publishers around the world, which were then narrowed down to the final results.

I’m in good company. Penguin Random House, HarperCollins, Wiley, Hachette Books, McGraw-Hill, Routledge, Rowman & Littlefield, Johns Hopkins University Press, The White House Historical Association, American Bar Association, HCI Press, Bear & Company, Shambhala Publications, and hundreds of national and international Independent Houses contribute to this year’s Outstanding Competition!

I am a Jesus Freak, and I don't care who knows it. I am a wife, mother, sister, aunt, daughter, and friend. My blood family is only part of the larger family of Christ that I belong to. I love to write, especially about my dear Savior.
