Jesus Overflowing

This poem was originally posted last April on Anchored Voices, where you can read a new poem from me every month.

The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full. ~John 10:10 NIV.

The world promises fame and wealth
Seeking such things leaves us owing
Worry and strife burden spiritual health
But Jesus promises life overflowing

Seek first His kingdom He commands
Peace and joy in our spirit growing
Awareness of true abundance expands
As Jesus gives hope of life overflowing

Valuing relationships over possessions
Blessings mercy and grace bestowing
Forgiveness washes all transgressions
And Jesus delivers life overflowing

I am a Jesus Freak, and I don't care who knows it. I am a wife, mother, sister, aunt, daughter, and friend. My blood family is only part of the larger family of Christ that I belong to. I love to write, especially about my dear Savior.
