Stones of Truth

All the words I cannot see
Jumbled as a pile of stones
Meaning among the buried truth

Lies obscure God’s Holy truth
Discerning hearts alone can see
What hope remains among the stones

Sorting through, discarding stones
Keeping those that tell the truth
Bring me words for all to see

I see words like stones of truth

I wrote this tritina yesterday. It’s the first poem I’ve written in quite some time. But today is the first day of National Poetry Writing Month (NaPoWriMo), so I thought I’d post it. Maybe I’ll write another for tomorrow. I’ve been in a bit of a writing slump lately and I’m thinking a reason to write every day for a month might help get me out of it.

I am a Jesus Freak, and I don't care who knows it. I am a wife, mother, sister, aunt, daughter, and friend. My blood family is only part of the larger family of Christ that I belong to. I love to write, especially about my dear Savior.
