Finding Thankfulness

If I called today bliss
I’d be remiss

It’s Monday, after all
The weekend had the gall

To end far too early
Leaving me feeling surly

Yet I shan’t complain
There’s not a drop of rain

Plus there are blooming iris
For spring I am desirous

Cooped up here at home
I resist the urge to roam

Yet we all remain healthy
From a virus oh so stealthy

I’ll pray a sacred verse
For every doctor and nurse

Not complain of routines upset
This pandemic’s not over yet

Still I’m thankful for grace
And God’s love to fill this place

I am a Jesus Freak, and I don't care who knows it. I am a wife, mother, sister, aunt, daughter, and friend. My blood family is only part of the larger family of Christ that I belong to. I love to write, especially about my dear Savior.
