The Battle Rages

Angels fell
from the grip of grace
Heaven’s gate
down to earth
bringing rebellious evil
to God’s creation

Spirit realms
where angels struggle
for our souls
yours and mine
heavenly host fights demons
grip us in His grace

Eyes open
to spiritual
war of words
lies and truth
discerned by the vigilant
child of holy God

I wrote this Shadorma for the dVerse Poets Pub Meeting the Bar.

About Linda Kruschke

I am a Jesus Freak, and I don't care who knows it. I am a wife, mother, sister, aunt, daughter, and friend. My blood family is only part of the larger family of Christ that I belong to. I love to write, especially about my dear Savior.

  2. I did a study on angels once – the bible mentions them all the time. It was a fascinating journey through the bible!

Not just scary… a history lesson of evil. (Speaking of evil: Bacon-Wrapped Pork Tenderloin?!? My heart begins fluttering at just the thought. 🙂 )

  7. I think you’re right about only when we are “gripped in grace” do we have eyes to see and ears to hear the discernment we need to resist the cunning, fallen ones.
