Vincent Could Have Told You – A Poem
Another odd Friday post. Maybe Friday is just a day for recipes and odd posts. Anyway, I received a challenge to write a poem in response to a video montage of all of Vincent Van Gogh’s self-portraits. I decided to take up the challenge. You can view the video itself by going to the challenge link above.
But since my blog often deals with God, I had to first do a bit of research about Van Gogh’s view of God so that I could incorporate that into the poem. Here is what I ended up with.
Vincent Could Have Told You
Faces change
My face changes
With the seasons
With my mood
I paint a changing me
But I remain
Beneath the face
What I call God
That which is love
It does not change
Oh Linda . . .that was so good. I’m glad you looked up Van Gogh and came up with such a great poem. 🙂 God bless!
Deb, You should go take this challenge, too. You are much better at poetry than I am. Peace, Linda
This is quite lovely Linda – you have highlighted one fundamental fact that is we are all the same under the skin! Love it – and putting it on the blog now. Thanks:)
You’re welcome! And thank you for the challenge. It was fun. Peace, Linda
