Frequent Flowers

Frequent Flowers

My favorite flowers
bloom in the garden
again and again and again

I deadhead my flowers
to keep them healthy
again and again and again

Of frequent flower care
I never complain
because such beauty
graces my back yard
again and again and again

It’s Quadrille Monday at dVerse Poets Pub and Victoria wants us to take a walk in the garden. I love this prompt because I adore my garden.

I am a Jesus Freak, and I don't care who knows it. I am a wife, mother, sister, aunt, daughter, and friend. My blood family is only part of the larger family of Christ that I belong to. I love to write, especially about my dear Savior.

  1. That is perfect. I was with my sister last week and she was raving about the care of her window boxes while she was away. She said she has never really seen her flowers grow so good. I said you have to deadhead them all the time. She laughed. She won’t. Hahaha

  2. Made me smile.
I moved several flowering plants in pots to an unprotected area. The deer were more than willing to dead head them all for me and they even cleaned up their mess. The plants are fine, just bloom-less. 🙂

    • Thank you. I just rescued this positive comment from spam! I guess I need to check that more regularly. It seems to be catching more legitimate comments these days.

  3. Oh, this is quite beautiful. I love how positive this poem is, and how there’s the theme of encouraging the flower to bloom through care. That can be applicable to many things in life. Fantastic take on the prompt, it is lovely. ❤
