Filled to Pour Out
Holy Spirit
Fill me with courage
Fill me with joy
Fill me with gratitude
Fill me with mercy
Fill me with grace
Fill me with love
That I might pour them out
On my family
On my co-workers
On my neighbors
On my enemies

It’s Quadrille Monday at dVerse Poets Pub today, my favorite poetry prompt ever. Inspired by a single word, poets are called to write a poem of exactly 44 words. There are no other rules or guidelines. Sometimes a poem idea comes to me instantly upon reading the prompt. Other times I have to meditate on it awhile. Today’s word, offered by De Jackson, is fill. This is one I had to ponder for the afternoon, and I finally came up with this prayer.
I like how those gifts go even to your enemies.
That’s what made Jesus so radical, his call to love even our enemies.
To be filled has to be one of the purposes of faith
A beautiful prayer Linda, thank you so much for sharing 💜
You’re welcome.
Amen.
A beautiful song of praise. Love this.
Thank you. My hope is that all who read it will also pray it. Oh what a wonderful world we would have.
A beautiful prayer of faith!
Thanks.
You are welcome!
