Blessings Flow – A Poem
Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows. James 1:17 (NIV).
Our God is a giver of blessings, of “good and perfect gifts.” The greatest gift of all is grace and salvation. His blessings are something to be thankful for every day.
Blessings Flow
Blessings flow from our Father above
Love flows through my heart and soul
Eternal life flows from the cross
Salvation flows in the blood that was shed
Salvation flows from His sacrifice
In darkness tears flow down
Nothing flows from darkness but
God’s voice calling, wooing
Soul who is lost, come to My Son
As I wrote this poem, I was reminded of the Doxology that we sing in church sometimes. I wish I had a recording or video of my church singing this wonderful prayer, but I’ll have to settle for a video from Youtube.
So, so beautiful, the poem and the video! Oh how He moves through you! Thank you for being such a lovely and vibrant instrument of His!
love, deb
Deb, The poem actually came to me during my morning prayer time. I had to get up and get a piece of paper to write it down because I was afraid I would forget! I don’t seem to write much down on paper these days, but this poem of His was too good to let get away. Peace, Linda
Thanks Linda,
Love the poem and totally enjoyed the Doxology too 🙂
Blessings

P.S. Double blessings! 😉
Ann, Plus the Bible verse and your comment, so quadruple blessings! Peace, Linda
I love to hear the Doxology sung acapella…so simple yet beautiful.
April, The first time I was in a group of women who started singing it I was blown away, and I still love it! Peace, Linda
