My Ace in the Hole
Some days I’ve been dealt
a miserable hand
no matching suits
nothing nearing a straight
not even a pair
But I’ve good cards too
A queen or four
Even a full house at times
And always I’ve had my
Ace in the Hole—Jesus

Hope….nice!!!
Thanks.
You WIN if you have Him!
Yep, every time!
ah! amen to that! <3
Well written…
Thanks.
First time too to read that Jesus is the Ace in the Hole. Good one Linda.
Hopefully no one is offended, but it seemed like a good analogy to me.
Great poem.
Thank you.
Interesting interweaving of faith and cards! Well done.
I just shuffled the deck of words in my hands and this is what came out. 🙂
You Aced it!
Wonderful poem built around an Ace called Jesus. Love it.
Thanks.
First time I’ve heard Jesus called that; sweet notion–rocking the prompt.
I think I just made it up. 😉
YES. Love this, Linda.
