Don’t Fret

One day I had a little fret
A worry wanna-be
Its goal in life to become fear
And to discourage me

Until I took it to my God
And laid it at His feet
In my prayer I asked for peace
Release from fret’s deceit

I thanked God for His answer then
Knowing He is faithful
I saw fret flee away from me
And my day was peaceful

9/17/15 update: Shared for Open Link Night at dVerse Poets Pub. Come check out some great poetry.

I am a Jesus Freak, and I don't care who knows it. I am a wife, mother, sister, aunt, daughter, and friend. My blood family is only part of the larger family of Christ that I belong to. I love to write, especially about my dear Savior.

  1. Oh so true.. God only knows and feels
    True.. humans make the guilt..
    the greed.. the jealousy..
    the pride.. the envy..
    the FEAR
    THE HATE..
    as simply
    an unwise
    attempt at Separation..
    little do they know
    and perhaps
    THAT is all
    illusion in
    and feelings
    in losing.. but
    never any
    real escape
    from Truth
    and Light or GOD
    as GOD rules wITh US
    and not against US when

  2. I was in this very position this morning. Thanks for poetically articulating my true life experience! Gorgeous!
