Music Monday Extra – Glorious Day (Living He Loved Me)
Last night as I was getting ready for bed, I was listening to my iPod. The last song that came on I listened to three times because it was such a wonderfully uplifting song. It’s by Casting Crowns and is called “Glorious Day (Living He Loved Me).”
This song is sung from the perspective of one person telling others about what Jesus has done for them. But as I listened, I realized the chorus could be changed just slightly to be a prayer to Jesus:
Living You loved me
Dying You saved me
Buried You carried my sins far away
Rising You justified freely forever
One day You’re coming
O Glorious Day
O Glorious Day
I have some Casting Crowns on a praise and worship playlist, but not this song. It’s iPod worthy, for sure! Thanks for the recommenation…
Linda, Glad you liked it. It’s on their “Until the Whole World Hears” CD. The whole CD is awesome, but this is my favorite song on it. Peace, Linda
Oh my . . .Aub and I were here swaying and singing! 🙂 I really like Casting Crowns and hadn’t heard this one before. Thank you so much for taking the time to post songs on Monday. They really make our day! 🙂
love, deb
p.s. this reminded me of Ben . . .Justified Freely! 🙂
Deb, I am so blessed to know you and Aubrey enjoyed this so much! 🙂 I really like Casting Crowns, too. And I thought the person who put the video together did an awesome job! Peace, Linda
Me too!!! All of it was good, so good, but there was something about the one of Jesus knocking on the door . . .that one really got me!
That is a good one. I have a picture very similar to that hanging on my living room wall, with Revelation 3:20 printed below it: “Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me.” I love that verse. 🙂
