Snow
I really don’t care for snow. It is much too cold for my taste. Last year we experienced a 40-year snow storm in my area, school was closed for a week, my office was closed for 5 days (which didn’t completely coincide with the school closure days), and none of our local city governments had a clue about how to clear the roads and keep residents safe. We were supposed to visit my husband’s family for Christmas, but had to cancel because the roads were impassible between here and there.
I’m okay with snow that you go to, like up in the mountains. Though, quite frankly, I wouldn’t choose to go to it. But I like it “there” for those who want to. I don’t like it in my yard. Maybe it has something to do with growing up in Southern California. Or maybe it is just that I don’t like to be cold. At any rate, I am perfectly happy that we have not had snow this year and there is not currently any in our local weather forecast.
But still, when I found out I could have falling snow on my blog until Jan. 4, I decided to go ahead and turn it on. After all, snow on my blog is kind of like snow in the mountains – it’s over “there” in cyber-space and not here where I physically am. This kind of snow I can handle. It doesn’t make me cold but it is pretty falling on the blog.
