To Pray Boldly

This poem was first published on Anchored Voices blog in February, but I thought I’d share it here as well.

To Pray Boldly

Boldly I plead with You Lord
…..Have mercy on my dear wandering one
…..Whose heart has gone a tad astray
…..Mired in his own way, deceived by the world

Boldly I implore You Lord
…..Heal the ache deep in my heart
…..Forgive each transgression I commit
…..Leave me not in my despair and suffering

Boldly I entreat You Lord
…..Let peace reign as from the start
…..Bring unity to Your fractured Church
…..That the world might see Your mercy true

Boldly I beseech You Lord
…..Set things right in our broken world
…..A world filled with souls gone off the mark
…..For the love of creation receive my intercession

Boldly, boldly I appeal to You
…..No other god has come to my aid
…….No idol or riches my hand has made
………No worry or fretting, no trying my best
………..Can save me, but You
You are my rest

Only by fearless supplication
I sustain the faith that You’re here
That my greatest fears and terrors within
Are naught to You who defeated sin

……….So boldly I pray

I am a Jesus Freak, and I don't care who knows it. I am a wife, mother, sister, aunt, daughter, and friend. My blood family is only part of the larger family of Christ that I belong to. I love to write, especially about my dear Savior.
