Out of Words
Why, oh why, did I decide to do NaPoWriMo? I knew I had too much to do this month to take on something else, but once I say I’m going to do something I have a hard time letting it go. So after finishing two book proposals today for the Faith & Culture Writers Conference tomorrow, I threw together this stupid little ditty.
Out of Words
It’s only day nine of thirty
of NaPoWriMo
but I’m feeling a little unwordy
Spent all day writing
book proposals
so all I got is this poem unexciting
Ha! Okay… this one feels like what happens when you let the air out of a balloon and let it go flying about the room. It’s out of air but still fun to watch. Good for you for getting words down; that alone makes this a good poem. <3
Ha! That’s a perfect description!
It counts! 🙂 Do you ever write haiku, Linda? Sometimes when I know I don’t have a lot of time or energy , I try to do those for awhile. 🙂
I’ve done other short form poetry but never a haiku. Last night, though, I didn’t have the brain power to fit a poem to form. 😉
