Spring
Spring has sprung
A song is sung
By every sparrow and hummingbird
Rain comes down
With a pounding sound
On all the azaleas and daffodils
Blooms are bursting
For bees who are buzzing
Pollinating flowers and trees
Next will be summer
My favorite season
When gardens sway in the breeze
My favorite is summer. Spring is a wonderful birth but with postpartum blues of mud and rain.
Ha! There’s indeed a lot of mud in spring.
“Rain comes down / With a pounding sound.” Those lines are well-penned, and I like their sound!
Summer is my favorite too. Wonderful read, Linda!
