My Muddled Mind
Muddled thoughts
confused, chaotic
ever churning night to day
Their origin
their destination
It seems I cannot sway
Yet El Roi
the God who sees me
invites me to come and pray
He knows each thought
each crazy fear
won’t leave me in dismay

I haven’t been writing much lately. Can’t quite pin anything down. But it’s Open Link Night at dVerse Poets Pub so I decided to check out the Quadrille prompts that I’ve missed and write one for OLN.
Truth.
The God who listens and prays with us ~ Hope you are well Linda ~
Nice phrase “churning night to day” and the invitation to come and pray.
We all get in a muddle.
Nice work with this poem.
Thanks. Yes, the muddle isn’t new, but it’s been awhile.
I understand the confusion prevailing as a result of those muddled thoughts and the need for something or somebody so that we can find a resolve.

Love the solace you get… we all need a way to vent our muddled minds
Sounds like my mind so often. Just a season, I’m sure!
Lovely verse and well achieved. Out of chaos, we pray for order. I echo that prayer Linda. Good to read you again!
For one with “muddled thoughts” this flows quite fantastically.
Thanks! Glad it resonated.
we must heed the invitation!
Yes, that’s so true. My routine was changed at the beginning of April and it affected my prayer time. It took me awhile to realize just what a bad idea it was to not immediately find an alternate time to speak to God about the things on my heart.
Ah this❤️
