The Battle Rages
Angels fell
from the grip of grace
Heaven’s gate
down to earth
bringing rebellious evil
to God’s creation
Spirit realms
where angels struggle
for our souls
yours and mine
heavenly host fights demons
grip us in His grace
Eyes open
to spiritual
war of words
lies and truth
discerned by the vigilant
child of holy God

Not so much ghostly as spiritual!
I did a study on angels once – the bible mentions them all the time. It was a fascinating journey through the bible!

Not just scary… a history lesson of evil. (Speaking of evil: Bacon-Wrapped Pork Tenderloin?!? My heart begins fluttering at just the thought. 🙂 )

I recently went to a bistro-style restaurant that listed a BBQ burger. Their regular burger (one of the best I’ve ever tasted) is fresh-made daily from brisket and short-rib meat. This began with that and underneath the bacon I found pulled pork lying in wait for the unsuspecting diner. Oh, my! I came home and did my imitation of a bloated tick. They should have a warning notice posted on the menu!
I actually seldom eat meat… almost never beef.
Where is said bistro? I think I need to try that. 😉

I think you’re right about only when we are “gripped in grace” do we have eyes to see and ears to hear the discernment we need to resist the cunning, fallen ones.
