What Do You See?
If you took my God poems
Each and every one of them
Laid then side by side
Would in them faith abide
Would my heart shine through
His compassion for me and you
Dare to ponder my friend
His love endures til the end

Monday was crazy so I didn’t get to write my Quadrille for the Monday prompt at dVerse Poets Pub. But I managed to write it this morning. The word for the day is poem or some form thereof. Head on over to the pub and see what other poets have to offer in forty-four words, not counting the title.
Lovely faith-based poem!
I love your poems about faith and God.. 🙂 they keep my strength alive.
Thanks!
You may have heard this, but the Hebrew word for compassion has, at its root, the word for womb. That blows me away. I would need to go back and find the exact words as my old memory isn’t that sharp anymore. Glad you were able to be here, Lynda.
I didn’t know that, but now I’m going to have to check if my Hebrew-Greek Study Bible has anything to say about that. 🙂
I love how you find compassion with others in God…
compassion is what matters.
In a Bible study a couple of years ago I learned that the first name God uses to reveal Himself to Moses is Compassionate. That’s my favorite of His characteristics that I like to emulate.
As I see it faith would be something we subjectively express and experience. Those poems may point it out which makes them totally worth having.
