A New Fearless Year

Today begins a new year. What will 2018 bring? Who knows, but I’m ready for whatever adventure God has in store for me.

It will be yet another fearless year as I remember the promise of God, given through the prophet Isaiah:

So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. Isaiah 41:10 (NIV).

Whatever scary things I might face—and I’m sure there will be many—will not stop me from living the abundant life God has in store for me.

My goals in 2018 are to continue to encourage others, to be a light in a dark world, and to rely more on the Spirit of God to help me in each venture that is set before me.

My word for the year in 2017 was Patience. I was mindfully patient with myself as I worked toward my goal of polishing my memoir. My word for 2018 is Reliance.

I am a Jesus Freak, and I don't care who knows it. I am a wife, mother, sister, aunt, daughter, and friend. My blood family is only part of the larger family of Christ that I belong to. I love to write, especially about my dear Savior.
