with your free time?
I like to write with mine
It’s quite sublime
But free time
is difficult to find
when other add items
to growing to-do lists

Other commitments prevented me from writing for Quadrille Monday at dVerse Poets Pub yesterday, but I found a wee bit of free time during lunch today to catch up. The word of the day to include in our 44-word Quadrilles is free.

Free time can almost feel like you are stealing when the list is full
I know. And I really need to steal some to get back to reading Monday’s Quadrilles!
I know exactly what you mean! Requests which seem so reasonable at the time that we feel miserly about refusing them… and yet….

I certainly know the pressures of ‘to-do lists..
I don’t mind so much when I make the list. But when others add things to the list, it interferes with my plans. 😉

Free time is precious these days, I usually go with the moment and see what comes.
Amen to this. Hardly such a thing as “free time” anymore. Sigh.
Free time can be spent in ways we didn’t expect to spend it.
So true, but if I had my druthers it would be spent writing, outdoors, in the sunshine. 🙂
