Where This Road Leads

I know full well where this road leads
The end is my desire and goal
But I know not how long it be
Or what lurks beyond the next knoll
My Companion knows, but won’t tell
I must trust that He’s in control
He’ll never leave me as I trudge
Toward rest for my weary soul

The prompt at dVerse Poets Pub today is to write an octet with the road as a theme. For more road-themed octets, head over to dVerse and click on Mr. Linky.

This is also my Day 21 post for NaPoWriMo2015.

I am a Jesus Freak, and I don't care who knows it. I am a wife, mother, sister, aunt, daughter, and friend. My blood family is only part of the larger family of Christ that I belong to. I love to write, especially about my dear Savior.

  1. I love this. It is nice to remember that we are never alone in whatever path we take and that wherever we go, there is only one ultimate destination. 🙂

  2. Ah.. yes GOD does
    know now.. as tHere
    is no escape from life
as is in living loving it
as well as we can for
    now.. as one race of
    human beings joining
in on living life as is now..:)

  3. cleverly written; more than a declaration of faith, it could suffice metaphorically as several other themes; nicely done.
