Freeway Frustration – A Poem

As I was getting ready for work this morning this short “mathmatical series” poem came to mind, this time counting syllables in multiples of two. And since the link is still open over at dVerse Poets Pub Form for All I thought I’d share it. It’s a bit sillier than what I usually write, but was inspired by a recent drive to Seattle, Washington that should have taken three hours and ended up taking four and a half hours.

Freeway Frustration

Fast lane
Passing traffic
creeping slowly, almost crawling

Break lights
Sudden stopping
foiling swiftness, stuck in traffic
