Follow the Tears of God
For Music Monday today, I wanted to share a beautiful song by Los Lobos called Tears of God. I love the chorus:
You’ll find out true
What mother said to you
The tears of God will show you the way
The way to turn
So many struggle in this life with pain and trials, feeling lost and alone, as the lyrics of this song portray. But the tears of a God who loves His creation and wants an abundant and fulfilling life for all of us will show each lost soul the way to turn.
“Jesus wept” (John 11:35) because of His compassion for the Jews who mourned over the death of Lazarus. He weeps even now because of His compassion for all those in the world who have been separated from His Father’s love. If we follow those tears to the cross, we will find “the Way, the Truth, and the Life” (John 14:6) who will help us to overcome the struggles and pain of this world.
