After my excursion into writing a triolet for the dVerse Poets Pub FormForAll last Thursday, I decided that this is a form I really like. As I listened to the lesson on grace in church on Sunday, I decided that I wanted to write another triolet about grace to go with the one on faith.
I do believe there is actually a trio of triolets in the making as I am now pondering another one — possibly on love, or maybe on gratitude (which is our Christian toolbox tool for next week).
Saved by Grace
The glory of the One and Only, full of grace and truth
For it is by the grace of Jesus we’ve been saved, through faith
We shall not boast in what we have done, but in the cross of Christ
The glory of the One and Only, full of grace and truth
You who are trying to be justified by law, from Christ
Have been alienated; have fallen away from grace
The glory of the One and Only, full of grace and truth
For it is by the grace of Jesus we have been saved, through faith
My link is No. 18 on Mr. Linky at Open Link Night today. There are a lot of other good poems linked there, too.
