Psalm 15 – Who May Dwell with the Lord?

I love this Psalm. It reminds me of what I need to do so that I “will never be shaken.” I also know that I would have a very difficult time doing some of these things without the help of the Holy Spirit.

Psalm 15

    A psalm of David.

1 LORD, who may dwell in your sanctuary?
Who may live on your holy hill?

2 He whose walk is blameless
and who does what is righteous,
who speaks the truth from his heart
3 and has no slander on his tongue,
who does his neighbor no wrong
and casts no slur on his fellowman,
4 who despises a vile man
but honors those who fear the LORD,
who keeps his oath
   even when it hurts,
5 who lends his money without usury
and does not accept a bribe against the innocent.

   He who does these things
   will never be shaken.

I am a Jesus Freak, and I don't care who knows it. I am a wife, mother, sister, aunt, daughter, and friend. My blood family is only part of the larger family of Christ that I belong to. I love to write, especially about my dear Savior.

  1. What a perfect Psalm for today, Linda. Just thinking of how shaken we were by the attacks ten years ago. And then this shows us how to not be shaken, by dwelling with the Lord.
God bless you and your Psalm Sundays!

    • Deb, It seems everyone was affected in some way by the 9-11 attacks. For me, I always remember that day as the beginning of the slow demise of a longtime friendship with someone who took offense to a prayer I emailed to everyone in my email address book, a heartfelt prayer for our nation, but she took offense to it being a prayer “in Jesus’ name.” Makes me sad still. 🙁 But I am not shaken in my faith! Peace, Linda

  2. Thanks Linda,

    Isn’t it a beautiful Psalm?

“It reminds me of what I need to do so that I “will never be shaken.” I also know that I would have a very difficult time doing some of these things without the help of the Holy Spirit.”
So would I, Linda. So thankful for the Help that He is.

Thank you for the reminders, Linda. Sometimes I forget to ask Him for help … even though He is right there waiting.

    Blessings much,
    ann

    • Ann, I forget sometimes, too. But He never leaves us, never forsakes us, and is always ready to help us be more like Him and to stand firm in our faith if only we ask. Peace, Linda
