Today is the 1 year anniversary of this blog! I can’t believe I have been writing online for a full year. This will be my 210th post, which averages to 4 posts per week. However, for the first few months I only posted 1 or 2 times per week, and then have posted 6 per week almost ever week since Ash Wednesday.
I also have 609 comments posted here, probably half of which are comments by me responding to someone else’s comments. I like to acknowledge comments because I know I appreciate it when other bloggers acknowledge my comments on their blogs.
I have had 7,744 hits on my blog, which averages to 21 hits per day. I think this is pretty good since the only ways I’ve promoted the blog are to post a link on my Facebook wall for my FB friends to see and by commenting on other blogs. I have been added to the blogroll of several of my fellow bloggers, too. Since I started adding tags to my posts, I also get hits through the Tag Surfer on WordPress. Lastly, I have gotten quite a few hits from people doing search engine searches for either my name or key words in one of my blogs.
The best thing about this blog is the blogging friends I have made. There are 9 or 10 other Christian blogs that I read regularly, and a few more that I read occasionally. I have developed some great friendships with some of these other bloggers, even though we have never met in person.
It has been a wonderful experience and I am looking forward to another year ahead. Thanks to everyone who has come here to check out what I have to say.
